These pesky birthdays sure seem like they are coming faster and faster! This year, my family gifted me with some wonderful furniture for our back patio. It's like being given an extra room! I am so excited I can hardly stand myself! We swept off the concrete, rinsed all the winter gook off everything and now we have the perfect place to enjoy all those spring and summer barbecues!I am so glad my birthday lands on March 4. Did you know it is the only day that is also a command? "March Forth!"
I share my birthday with Patricia Heaton, Chastity Bono, Gloria Gaither and Bobby Womack (who wrote this great song), among others.
Ronald Reagan wed Nancy Davis on this day in 1952.
In 1849, it was the only day in history when the U.S. did NOT have a President! Polk's term ended March 3, and Taylor couldn't be sworn in on that day.
Here's something super-cool: the song, "Happy Birthday to You," was published by Clayton Sunny on this day!
And I was born on my Great Grandmother's birthday!
So, if I must get older, I am glad it the day is marked with such special events as these!
Happy Birthday to Me!
